Altenburg Studio is an established Las Vegas business since 1972 with a commercial storefront and portrait garden. We are a full service studio and do all types of portraits for both personal and business use.

Portrait policies

At our studio we don’t charge any portrait session fees. We do require a $200 minimum portrait purchase for portrait sessions done in our studio or garden. We require a $300 minimum purchase for sessions done on location (within a 30 mile radius of our studio).

Locations over 30 miles or beach sessions require an additional travel fee. There are some great locations around Las Vegas that we use frequently such at Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, Floyd Lamb Park and Nelson. By special appointment we also travel to Laguna Beach, California for summer beach portrait sessions.

We offer a complimentary portrait planning session at our studio prior to your appointment. We have samples to show different styles available and types of clothing that will look best in photographs. We can provide professional hair and makeup services for an additional fee depending on the services required.

When you book your session you will be asked to pay your $200 or $300 as a retainer to hold the appointment time for you. This retainer will be credited 100% towards prints when you place your portrait order. Changes to your appointment time or day require 48 hours notice. Missed appointments or no shows will forfeit your retainer.

Portrait previews will normally be ready for viewing within a week. After your session we will make you a viewing appointment to see the images on our studio big screen. At that time you will place your order. We ask that all the decision makers be present for the viewing. For out of town clients we can often schedule your viewing immediately after your portrait session.

In order to control the quality of our portrait images we do not sell high resolution digital files for outside printing. We are happy to provide a complimentary low resolution digital file of any images that you order prints of. These low resolution files are suitable for social media sharing and will include our studio logo. We ask that you do not crop or remove the logo. This helps deter images from being stolen online and misused without our permission.

We accept MasterCard, Visa, AMEX, Discover, local checks and cash. Return check fee $30.

All our photographs are protected by US copyright laws. It is illegal to copy or reproduce images without written permission. We reserve the right to use images for display, publication or other purposes.

Business and Publicity Portrait and Event Photography policies:

We offer a basic studio headshot package for business cards, web site or advertising starting at $99. You will review your images immediately following your session for quicker turnaround. Finished, retouched images for business purposes can be emailed or provided on digital media. On-location business portraits conventions, corporate parties, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings and other special events are priced by quote based on time and services required. We can provide professional hair and makeup services for an additional fee depending on services required.
